Yemeni socialist office damaged by blast
A blast in Yemen has caused heavy damage to an office of the opposition Socialist Party in the south of the country. The explosion, in the Shuayb area of the Al-Dali province, happened during a lunch hour, when the building was empty. There were no reports of casualties. Yemeni officials said the explosion might be linked to next month's municipal elections. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
