Yemeni socialist office damaged by blast

A blast in Yemen has caused heavy damage to an office of the opposition Socialist Party in the south of the country.

The explosion, in the Shuayb area of the Al-Dali province, happened during a lunch hour, when the building was empty.

There were no reports of casualties.

Yemeni officials said the explosion might be linked to next month's municipal elections.
