More killings in Chechnya
There are reports from Chechnya that two Russian security personnel died when a vehicle they were travelling in hit a mine in the city of Grozny. In a separate, earlier incident, two local policemen -- a father and son -- were shot dead. They were killed by unidentified gunmen who broke into their house overnight in the city of Gudermes. A report on a Chechen opposition website said that the two policemen had been killed because they were traitors. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
