Cars recalled over gearbox 'fault'
Daewoo recalls selected models
Specific Daewoo models could have faulty gearbox
The Korean car company Daewoo is to recall more than 200 models due to a possible fault with the vehicles' automatic gearboxes.

The company has identified about 200 Musso and six Korando 4x4 models built between March 1999 and May 2000 which are affected.

All customers with these cars will be notified by post in the next week directing them to their nearest Daewoo service centre.

In a statement, the company stressed that the recall was simply a "precautionary measure".

The remedial work takes a little under three hours and customers will be offered the use of a courtesy car where available.

Daewoo owners can also call the central Customer Services team on 0800 060606 if they have any queries.
