Thai victor seeks coalition
Unofficial results from Saturday's general election give Mr Shinawatra's party, Thai Rak Thai, an outright majority of the five hundred parliamentary seats. The announcement of the final results has been delayed by procedural irregularities in some areas. Mr Thaksin is expected to form his government after the new parliament sits within the next month.
