More UN Indian troops in Africa

A further eight-hundred Indian soldiers are to be deployed as part of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Ethiopia and Eritrea.

The troops are expected to arrive in the second half of January, bringing the total number of Indian soldiers in the region to over four-thousand.

The remainder of the UN mission will be made up of Bangladeshis, Kenyans and Jordanians and are expected to be posted along the border between Ethiopia and Eritrea.
