	Wildlife groups in Thailand have strongly criticised proposals by an aspiring politician to legalise the commercial farming and slaughter of tigers. The owner of a tiger zoo in the northeast of the country is standing as a candidate for parliament in Saturday's general election to try to push through legislation on the issue.
