Murder hunt police appeal for jogger
Police search
A search of the area was carried out by police
Detectives investigating the killing of a woman whose body was found in a country lane on Remembrance Day have appealed for a jogger seen running in the area to come forward.

The body of Rosemary Bernadette Corcoran was found by a man walking his dog on 12 November last year off the A38, at Rashwood, near Droitwich, Worcestershire.

The 25-year-old, of Castle Vale, Birmingham, died from injuries to her head and face.

Help

West Mercia Police want a middle-aged man who was seen running in the area on the day Ms Corcoran's body was discovered to contact them.

He was seen close to the scene at about 0530GMT and is described as slim, aged 40-50, with grey, short, receding hair. He was wearing yellow, fluorescent gloves.

"We believe the jogger may be able to assist us with the inquiry," said a police spokesman.

The lane in which the woman's body was found leads to the Rashwood Nursing Home.

Charge

Philip John Smith, 35, was remanded in custody by Birmingham magistrates on Thursday charged with Ms Corcoran's murder.

Mr Smith, of Sparkbrook, Birmingham, is also charged with the murders of Carol Jordan and Jodie Hyde.

The body of Ms Hyde, 21, of Alum Rock, Birmingham, was found by two police officers on 9 November in Sparkbrook, Birmingham.

The body of care worker Mrs Jordan, 39, of Balsall Heath, Birmingham, was found on the same day as Ms Corcoran body in parkland in the Lee Bank area of the city.
