Russians continue bombing raids in Chechnya
The Russian military headquarters in Chechnya says its aircraft have continued to attack rebel positions in the east of the republic. It says two rebel strongholds were eliminated and a rebel group dispersed in Nozhai-Yurtovskiy district; it said the planes triggered rock slides to block off two mountain passes. The Russian authorities say the rebels have continued their attacks against federal military positions and administrative buildings in the capital, Groznyy, and elsewhere.
