Police in Italy say they have broken up an international drugs and arms trafficking ring in which traditional Italian Mafia families had formed alliances with East European and North African crime gangs.
Police in Milan seized more than one-hundred kilos of cocaine and heroin as well as two-hundred automatic weapons.
Ninety people were arrested in Italy and extradition orders issued for a further ten in other European countries.
Among those arrested were thirty ethnic Albanians, mainly from Kosovo.
