IMF team to Indonesia

Another mission from the International Monetary Fund is due in the Indonesia capital, Jakarta.

Speaking in Washington before the team's departure, a senior IMF official Stanley Fischer said it was likely that temporary subsidies would remain in place to help the poor in Indonesia cope with price rises.

But he said a resumption of loan payments to Indonesia would depend on the outcome of an IMF review of the country's economy.

Loans were suspended last month during the Indonesian unrest.
