US citizens warned against Indonesia travel

The United States has issued a new warning to its citizens to avoid going to Indonesia unless absolutely necessary.

The US State Department warning comes after a series of bomb attacks against Christians on Sunday that killed at least fourteen people and wounded many more.

The Americans say they have received indications that the bombings could continue and that US interests might be targetted. Americans were also warned to avoid all travel to Aceh, Maluku, Papua and West Timor. Thousands of troops have been mobilised following the bomb attacks.
