Kabila bombs rebel positions
There have been reports of more fighting in the Democratic Republic of Congo between rebels and government troops. The leader of the Ugandan-backed Congolese Liberation Movement, MLC, Jean-Pierre Bemba, said government aircraft had carried out two bombing raids on the rebel-held town of Dongo, in Equateur province. There has been no word from the government on the rebel claims. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
