Muslim militants escape in Kashmir
Police in Indian-administered Kashmir are searching for two Muslim militants who escaped custody overnight. Police say the men who belong to the separatist group, Lashkar-e-Toyeba, were being transported to Surankot in Poonch district when they evaded their captors. The men - whom police describe as Pakistani nationals - were arrested last month in Bombay for allegedly planning an attack on the Indian right-wing Hindu leader, Bal Thackeray.
