Most of the world's one billion Muslims celebrated Eid al-Fitr on Wednesday, the festival marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

![]() For some Palestinians it was also a day to grieve over loved ones killed in the latest violence.
![]() In Iran, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei led prayers by exorting Muslims to support the Palestinian uprising.
