Sierra Leone
After almost a decade of civil war, a ceasefire is in force in the West African state of Sierra Leone. The conflict between the Government and the rebel Revolutionary United Front has taken a terrible toll on the country, with atrocities carried out by both sides. Britain sent troops to secure the release of hundreds of United Nations personnel captured by the rebels. They're still there - so too is the UN - but the peacekeeping mission is coming under increasing pressure. The BBC's Mark Doyle report from Sierra Leone.
