Two on separate murder charges

Two people have appeared in Londonderry Magistrates Court on two separate murder charges.

Both have been remanded in custody.

Charmaine Collette McElwee, 21, of Rathbeg Crescent in Limavady was charged in connection with the death of Eric Connor, 37, who was stabbed at a house in the town on Christmas Eve.

And Thomas Francis Stokes, 17, of Springfield Road, Stamford Hill, London, also appeared at the courthouse accused of murder, following a fatal stabbing in Londonderry in the early hours of Christmas morning.

Martin Mongan, 23, died in hospital following the attack at Drumard Park in the city.
