![]() More than 100 have already died this year
Two men and a woman have died in Strathclyde after taking illegal drugs over Christmas.
Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the deaths. Strathclyde Police reported last month that more than 100 people had already died this year in the force area from suspected drug abuse. The body of a 28-year-old man was discovered at about 0120GMT on Sunday in a flat in Dennistoun, Glasgow. Later that morning, an 18-year-old man was discovered at a house in Larch Drive, East Kilbride. The woman, 20, was discovered at about 1130GMT on Christmas Day at a house in East Barnes Street, Clydebank. Drugs worth more than £7m have been seized by the force in the last 12 months. The seizures were mainly heroin, said a spokesman.
