Czech news war deepens |
|
| Hundreds of people have gathered outside the offices of Czech television, where journalists and managers are putting out rival news bulletins. The journalists have refused to accept a new general-director and news editor, saying they are political appointments and would threaten impartiality. The new executives, for their part, say they are non-political, and have ordered the rebellious journalists to leave television headquarters and work from home, which the journalists have refused to do. The BBC's Wendy Urquhart reports. |
