Nigerians start leaving Ivory Coast

The Nigerian government has begun repatriating its citizens from Ivory Coast following allegations that they've been subjected to repeated harrassment by the authorities there.

A group of about three-hundred people set off aboard four buses, expressing relief that they were leaving.

They said Ivorian police had regularly visited the markets where they worked, had torn up their identity documents and seized their goods.

They also accused the police of encouraging groups of youths to steal from them.
