Arafat briefs king on Mideast talks

The Palestinian leader, Yasser Arafat, has been briefing King Abdullah of Jordan on the negotiations in the United States.

Speaking on his arrival in Amman, Mr Arafat said there were still many obstacles to an agreement.

He said the Israelis had even backtracked on what they'd previously been saying, although he gave no details.
