No one was seriously injured in the accident on the A55 near St Asaph. The girls, who are all from St Theresa's Majorettes in Liverpool, were taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd hospital for check-ups. Nasty accident Two coaches and a number of cars were understood to have been involved in the accident but no one else was injured. Police officer Richard Yates said: "It was a nasty accident involving four or five vehicles but luckily everyone's been very lucky. "Sixty-five people have been brought to hospital the majority of whom are children, but only 12 of them have suffered injury and they are really walking wounded. "There's nobody seriously injured but there are a few people in neck collars. Our youngest is a six-year-old girl. There are girls aged up to 14 here as well as their parents and event organisers." The team had been on their way to perform near Rhyl when the accident happened. |
