Fire closes Sydney airport

Thousands of travellers have suffered disruption after a fire shut down the international airport in the Australian city of Sydney.

A spokesman said the fire, in the control tower, was caused by an electrical fault in a computer.

It was quickly extinguished, but staff had to be evacuated and the airport was closed to traffic for about half an hour. Nobody was injured. It's the third major failure in the airport's control tower this year.
