Funeral of crash victim
Accident scene
Floral tributes at the scene in Nottingham
The funeral has been held in Londonderry of a Northern Ireland student who died in a car crash in Nottingham.

Robert Bradley, 20, from Londonderry died along with Alexandra Veeder, 21 from Whitefield, Greater Manchester.

They had spent the night celebrating an end of term at Nottingham Trent University when they were hit by a car travelling the wrong way up a one-way street on Saturday 16 December.

Mr Bradley was killed instantly. Miss Veeder, a second year photography student, was taken to hospital with serious injuries but died later.

A 24-year-old man has been questioned on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Mr Bradley's parents, Robert and Anne, learned their youngest son had been killed while in Dublin.

They were visiting his brother, who had suffered a broken leg when he was struck by a car in the city.

A spokeswoman for the university said staff and students were shocked by the tragedy.

Floral tributes were left at the scene, in Nottingham. One message read: "Words are so hard to write they don't express the pain. You will be missed, but will stay in our hearts forever."
