Two members of pop act Five have appeared in a Dublin court in connection with a brawl in a bar.
Ritchie Neville, 21, who gave his name in court as Richard Dobson, and Jason Brown, 23, whose stage name is J, were arrested after a fight in the Palace Bar in Fleet Street. They appeared at Dublin District Court charged with public disorder and breaching the peace. Brown was also charged with assault.
Five, whose hits include Keep On Movin' and Slam Dunk Da Funk, will still play their scheduled Dublin gigs on 21 and 22 December at The Point. Five spokesman Neil Reading said the pair were drinking with members of their touring party when the incident happened. They were held for several hours by Dublin police and then released on bail. One man was injured and two others arrested in the incident. The victim is believed to have been treated at St James' Hospital for facial injuries which required stitches.
