Ethiopia 'ready for ceasefire'

The United States is continuing its efforts, along with Rwanda, to mediate in the dispute.

In Asmara, the Eritrean leader, Issayas Afewerke, told reporters he wanted a peaceful solution but the details still had to be worked out.
