A hand gun was later recovered from near the scene of the violence but no shots were fired. Witnesses also said they saw baseball bats and an axe.
"All the injured have been taken to hospital by ambulance and we are interviewing a number of people on the estate to see what happened." A spokesman for the Buckinghamshire ambulance service said a maximum of seven people had been injured. He added: "The injured people have suffered knife wounds, we have no reports of gunshot injuries. "We understand it is the result of some sort of family feud involving a number of people of Asian origin." Police arrested 16 people after the disturbance. Sean Wilson, 34, who lives on the estate, said: "Everything is very chaotic, there is a large number of armed police looking like they are waiting to go in. "The helicopters have been circling around for the last two hours. People are very surprised that something like this is happening. "It is normally a quiet area, we have quite a big Pakistani community. It has not been particularly tense and there is no history of trouble." |
