A Scottish soldier has died in a collision between two armoured personnel
carriers during an Army exercise in Poland.
It's understood that 22-year-old
Jason Glasgow of the Royal Highland Fusiliers, who came from Motherwell, was on
foot when the accident happened.
Four other members of the regiment suffered
minor injuries.
The collision happened at
Walcz.
An army spokeswoman said: "We understand that one Warrior carrier reversed when another one was behind
it."
"The soldier was caught between them. He had not been riding on a Warrior
himself, but we don't know the exact circumstances yet."
He was pronounced dead shortly afterwards in a Polish hospital, at 6.30pm
local time.
