Nepali border dispute

A group of left-wing students in Nepal has begun a protest march to the Kalapani area on the western border with India.

The All Nepal National Free Students' Union said the protest was meant to focus attention on the area, which has been disputed by Nepal and India for more than thirty years since the Sino-Indian war in 1962.

Two rounds of talks to determine Kalapani's status have ended inconclusively.
