Tension threatens Brazilian performance at World Cup

Reports from Brazil say the president of the country's football association, Ricardo Teixeira, is going to France to help ease tension in the Brazilian World Cup squad.

With just five days to go before the tournament, Brazilian media have reported increasing quarrelling among the players.

The team's capitan, Dunga, has also complained of having to attend the inauguration of a theme park in Paris yesterday Thursday instead of being able to train for Brazil's match against Scotland next Wednesday -- the World Cup's opening game.

The Brazilian Football Association fears the tension could affect the team's chance of winning the World Cup for the fifth time.
