Diana witnesses gather for judges meeting

Nearly all the witnesses to the death last August of Diana, Princess of Wales, have gathered in Paris for a meeting with the judge investigating the affair.

The judge is trying to clear up discrepancies between the various versions of what happened when her car, travelling at high speed, crashed in a tunnel in central Paris while being pursued by photographers.

Others attending are Mohammed Al Fayed, the father of Dodi, Diana's friend who also died in the crash and Diana's mother, Frances Shand Kydd, representing the Spencer family.

The family is said to be appalled by allegations, made by Mr Al Fayed, that Diana and Dodi were murdered.
