The Constitutional Court in Bulgaria has ruled that property confiscated by the Communist government in 1947 should be restored to the country's former ruling family.

The assets include two palaces -- one of them with a surrounding large park in the capital Sofia -- and five villas and hunting lodges.

The main royal palace in Sofia will, however, not be returned to the family, as it has always been state property.
