Some programmes on BBC radio and television are being disrupted by a twenty-four-hour strike by non-journalist staff.
News bulletins continue to be broadcast.
The union action ends at midnight London time.
The strike is over a number of issues including pay, multi-skilling and plans to reorganise the technical area of the BBC into a separate company, The union, BECTU, fears the reorganisation is part of a gradual privatisation programme which could lead to job losses and wage cuts.
Unions and BBC officials will meet tomorrow to try to end the dispute.
