The former French foreign minister, Roland Dumas, has been questioned for more than six hours in an investigation on whether he received bribes to approve the sale of French frigates to Taiwan in 1991.
No details have been given.
Mr Dumas, currently head of France's Constitutional Court, was placed under formal investigation in April.
He denies the charges.
Last month, the woman alleged to have channelled the bribes Christine Deviers-Joncours said Mr Dumas had no part in the deal.
