Tanker in trouble off Pakistan

The maritime authorities in Pakistan say an oil tanker has been abandoned one-hundred-and-ninety miles south-west of Karachi, and is causing a huge oil slick in the Arabian Sea.

The tanker was on its way from Bahrain to Bombay when it ran into difficulties.

It's understood the tanker is now sinking, but no other details are known.
