Three charged over Sendashonga murder

A Kenyan court has charged a Rwandan and two Ugandans with the murder of the exiled Rwandan opposition leader, Seth Sendashonga.

The three were remanded in custody for two weeks, and did not enter pleas.

Mr Sendashonga, who was interior minister with the Rwandan Patriotic Front government that took power after the l994 genocide, was shot dead in his car in Nairobi last month.

He fled to Nairobi after accusing the government of carrying out a revenge genocide.

Rwanda has denied any role in the killing.
