Seventeen charged in Pakistan for plane hijack

Police in Pakistan have charged seventeen people for their alleged involvement last month in the hijacking of a plane on a domestic flight.

The plane had been flying from Baluchistan to Karachi when three gunmen forced it to land at the southern city of Hyderabad.

The gunmen -- who were described as Baluchi-speakers -- were reported to have wanted more money spent on Pakistan's least-developed province.
