Flights by the private airline Aeromexico remained on schedule on Monday, after the Mexican government temporarily seized control of the company.

The government said national security was at stake after more than a thousand flight attendants decided to go on strike.

The intervention forced many of the employees back to work, but the trades unions say they will continue to press for higher wages and better working conditions.
