Greeks upset over rude dictionary

Officials in Greece have banned the latest edition of the country's leadingdictionary after it was criticised for containing racist and derogatory definitions.

Greeks in the north are upset about their football fans being referred to as Bulgarians; while ethnic Greek Albanians are angry over the definition of an Albanian as someone who is often exploited.

But academics and politicians opposed to the ban have described it as censorship.

A Greek court in Salonica will decide at the end of June if sales of the dictionary can resume.
