Border clash in Sierra Leone

Can follow Sierra Leone Amnesty Militiamen loyal to the government of Sierra Leone say they've killed almost seventy Liberian fighters supporting remnants of the ousted military junta.

The pro-government militiamen in Sierra Leone say those killed were among three-hundred Liberian fighters who were ambushed yesterday as they crossed into the country.

The Nigeria-led intervention force, ECOMOG, has accused Liberian militiamen of fighting side-by-side with Sierra Leonean rebels in the border area between the two countries.

The Liberian government has denied any involvement.
