Baby seals swim to freedom
Grey seals being released back into the sea in Pembrokeshire
The seals have spent three months recovering on land
Four baby seal pups have been released back into the wild after a long stay in a west Wales animal hospital.

The four grey seals called Laura, Gripper, Tony and Grenville swam out into the sea after more than three months of nurturing in captivity.

The seals were rescued from around the Pembrokeshire coast, and were taken for treatment at the Marine Wildlife Rescue Hospital at Milford Haven.

Hospital director Terry Leadbetter said the pups were only a few days old when they came in and had various injuries.

Policeman

Laura was found three days old, washed up on rocks at St Bride's Beach - and later turned out to be a boy.

Tony was found on the loppit rocks in Milford Haven and Gripper was found by a policeman on Angle beach.

Grenville is an orphan seal, who was found in some distress at Porthmelgan at St David's Head - he had eye problems and was underweight.

Mr Leadbetter said all four seals are "plump and happy and ready to return to the wild."

They were released back into the wild at St Bride's Beach near Dale.
