| The government says it's on course to nearly double the cuts in emissions of greenhouse gases required by the Kyoto agreement on global warming. The claim was made by the Environment Minister, Michael Meacher, as he launched the UK's climate change programme. The BBC's Environment Correspondent Margaret Gilmore reports:
