Brazil's Queen of children TV riles environmentalists

A leading children's television presenter in Brazil, Xuxa Meneghel pronounced Shoo-Shahhas been criticised by environmentalists over her plans to build a giant water park in Sao Paulo.

Prosecuters said they are investigating claims by the federal environmental agency, Ibama, that the theme park threatens protected rain forest and animal species along Brazil's Atlantic coast.

The two-hundred million dollar theme park was due for completion next year, but its construction has been temporarily halted by Ibama.
