NATO and Ukraine have agreed to deepen their military ties ahead of next year's expansion of the alliance.
NATO foreign ministers, meeting for second day inLuxembourg, agreed to open an office in Kiev to coordinate joint military exercises under the alliance's Partnership for Peace programme.
After the meeting, the Ukranian Foreign Minister, Boris Tarasyuk, reiterated that Ukraine has no immediate plans to seek NATO membership.
Ukrainian forces this week have been taking part for the first time in joint military exercises in Britain.
