Ethiopia and Somalia talks `make progress'
Ethiopia and Somalia say they have made progress in improving relations at talks in Addis Ababa. A member of the Somali delegation, which was led by the interim President, Abdulkassim Salad Hassan, said they agreed on the need to work together for the development of the whole region. Meanwhile Reuters news agency quoted the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry as saying it recognised the new transitional government in neighbouring Somalia but also urged it to reach agreement with its opponents, including militia leaders and leaders of two northern breakaway regions.
