Charlie Sheen will face charges brought by his father

Actor Charlie Sheen has surrendered to a California court to face charges brought by his father that he violated his probation by abusing drugs. Martin Sheen asked for the probation violation linked with a 1997 battery conviction to be filed and for the issue of an arrest warrant for his son. The 32-year-old Platoon star was ordered to enter a drug detoxification facility, followed by a residential drug treatment programme.

Ms Love, the widow of rock star Kurt Cobain, is the controversial lead singer of alternative rock band Hole. She won critical acclaim for her role in The People v Larry Flynt, a movie about a porn magazine publisher.
