Supermodel Moss burgled
A present from Johnny Depp is one of the items stolen
A diamond necklace worth £20,000 - a present from Hollywood star Johnny Depp - is believed to be among items stolen from the home of supermodel Kate Moss.
Burglars are believed to made off with items valued at £250,000, including traveller's cheques worth £50,000. Scotland Yard confirmed an investigation was under way into allegations of a burglary at an address in London's St John's Wood. A spokesman said inquiries were continuing into the reported break-in, believed to have taken place between 31 October and 2 November.
The couple were an on-and-off item for years before finally splitting two years ago. Depp, best known for films like Edward Scissorhands and Sleepy Hollow, is now with French actress Vanessa Paradis, who gave birth to their first child last year. Moss, 26, is currently on holiday in the US and was reportedly told about the burglary by a neighbour. The Sun newspaper says she has decided to stay in the US until a new security system is installed at her £1m home. |
