Bombs defused by Army teams
The van was examined by army experts
The find comes after police intercepted a van in Fermanagh
Army explosives experts have defused a pipe bomb in a County Antrim seaside resort.

Ten homes were evacuated after the device was discovered outside a house in Glendun Close in Portrush following a telephone warning.

The police have said they have not established a motive for the attack but added they did not believe it was sectarian.

The incident follows the discovery of an improvised bomb during a security alert in Donaghmore, County Tyrone on Tuesday night.

Army bomb disposal experts were called when a suspicious object was found in a briefcase in an entry at the back of a bar.

A controlled explosion was carried out on the briefcase and police said it was found to contain an "improvised explosive device".

Two homes were evacuated during the security alert in the vicinity of Main Street and Castlecaulfield Road.

The find comes just three days after police in County Fermanagh intercepted a 100kg mortar bomb.

Security sources linked the dissident republican Real IRA to that device, known as a "barrack buster".

The discovery was made in a van at Teemore crossroads near Derrylin on the main Enniskillen to Dublin road on Saturday.
