Blair warns against isolation
![]() The Prime Minister, Tony Blair goes on the offensive against Eurosceptics, warning of the dangers of Britain becoming isolated. Speaking at the Lord Mayor's banquet in the City of London, he argued that commitment to the EU was the only way of truly standing up for British interests. The Conservatives have accused him of wanting to lead Britain into a European super-state.
