| The Chinese President, Jiang Zemin has arrived in Cambodia on the first Chinese head of state visit since 1963. Scuffles broke out after police prevented protests from demonstrators calling for China to apologise for its support of the Khmer Rouge regime. Beijing has ruled out any such apology.
