US fighter planes collide
Two American fighter aircraft have collided in mid-air over the northern sea of Japan while taking part in military excercises. The pilots of the two F-16 fighters ejected and parachuted into the sea near the island of Hokkaido. One pilot has been rescued by Japanese coastguards at the scene; the other is still missing.
